A parrot was stolen in a Peterborough burglary.

In the early hours of December 29, between midnight and 8am, a garage in Field Walk, Eastgate, was broken into.

A black 40” flat screen TV and an African parrot were stolen.

The parrot is described as having a grey body and a red tail with a black tag on its leg that is labelled with a registration number (RA013).

The parrot is believed to have been placed into a white carry case from inside the garage, which is approximately one metre high and 450mm wide.

DC Sam Bagshaw, who is investigating, said: “It is likely that these items may be sold on and so we urge anyone who has any information or see’s anything in connection to report it on 101.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
