Parents of missing Peterborough teenager to appear in court today charged with murder

The parents of missing Peterborough teenager Bernadette Walker will appear at Crown Court this morning charged with her murder.

Seventeen-year-old Bernadette was reported missing by her mum and dad on July 21, after she had not been seen for three days.

Police launched a ‘no-body’ murder investigation on Friday, with mum Sarah Walker (37) and dad Scott Walker (50) of Century Square, Millfield, arrested on suspicion of killing her. They were charged with murder on Monday, and appeared at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court later that day.

They are set to appear at Peterborough Crown Court this morning (Wednesday) for a preliminary hearing.
