Mystery surrounds the death of a woman whose body was found in Orton Mere in Peterborough yesterday (Tuesday).
Emergency services were called to Orton Mere at 11.30am following the discovery of the body.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance was called, along with ambulances from the East of England Ambulance trust, but the woman’s death was confirmed in the afternoon.
Cambridgeshire police have been continuing their investigations today, describing the death as ‘unexplained.’
Officers on the case are still working to identify the woman, as well as piece together clues to work out what happened to her.
