A man who stole a poppy tin has been locked up for six months after appearing at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Armistice Day .

Robert Marvell (34) of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of theft at a short appearance at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday, November 11).

The theft happened at the Great Northern Hotel by Peterborough Station on Monday evening.
