Man on the run after robbery at Peterborough home

A man is on the run after a robbery at a Peterborough home.

Police were called to March 11 at 7.46am to reports of a burglary in Holmes Way, Paston.

Cash was stolen to the value of £1,500, and the victim was left ‘shaken.’

Police are now appealing to trace a man in connection with the offence.

He is described as being in his twenties, 5’7” to 5’8” and slim build. He was wearing a navy blue jacket, black trousers and black gloves and spoke with an English accent.

DC Liam Sweeney said: “The victim suffered slight injuries and has been left shaken by the incident.

“We would appeal for anyone who was in the local area before or after the incident and may have seen something to get in touch. Any information, no matter how small, could prove invaluable to the investigation.”

George Paul Alan Whitelaw, 43, from Peterborough was arrested and charged with robbery, fraud and two counts of possession of class a drugs . He appeared at Cambridge Magistrates Court yesterday.
