Man charged after woman suffers serious injuries in unprovoked Peterborough attack

A man has been charged after a woman was seriously injured in an unprovoked attack in Peterborough.

The attack happened in Norfolk Street at about 11pm on Saturday August 11 when a woman in her 20s had a glass thrown in her face.

The woman was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries.

Larry Oloruntoba, 24, of no known address, has been charged with grievous bodily harm without intent and common assault.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Peterborough Crown Court on Thursday, October 11.

DC Steph Parker said: “This was an unprovoked attack and we are keen to speak to anyone who was there at the time or recognises the man.”
