Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after armed police raid Peterborough home is released on bail

A man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder during an armed raid at a home in Peterborough yesterday, has been released on police bail.

It follows an attack on a man in his early 20s at 11.30pm on Thursday March 16 in Burghley Road, Peterborough.

The victim suffered stab wounds to his lower back and was taken to Peterborough City Hospital.

A pre-planned firearms warrant was executed in Bringhurst, Orton Goldhay, yesterday morning, Wednesday March 29, in connection with the stabbing.

A 38-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He was questioned by police at Thorpe Wood Police Station before being released on bail until Wednesday April 12.

The victim has since made a full recovery from his injuries.
