Man arrested in Peterborough Post Office on ‘conspiracy to money launder’

A man was arrested at a Post Office in Peterborough yesterday (Tuesday) on suspicion of conspiracy to money launder.

The arrest was carried out at Longthorpe Post Office in Thorpe Road.

Officers took a 38-year-old-man into custody on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and conspiracy to money launder.

The man from Peterborough remained at Thorpe Wood Police Station this morning.

Officers investigating the case were in Broadway that evening conducting follow-up investigations.

An eye-witness said they were seen inside a shop opposite the Sir Henry Royce.
