Man arrested after drugs bust in Peterborough as street suffers power outage
A man was arrested after police discovered a cannabis factory at a property in Peterborough.
At around 2pm on Thursday officers attended a property in Crown Street, New England.
Once inside the property they discovered 170 cannabis plants and other equipment used for cultivation.
A 22-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested and later charged with cultivating drugs. He is scheduled to appear at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Saturday).
Cambridgeshire police said on social media there was a power outage in Crown Street due to an “earlier incident”.
A police spokeswoman could not confirm if this was linked to the drugs incident.
