Scene of crime officers remain at the scene this afternoon as a fingertip forensic examination of the house both inside and out continues.

The hand-made devices were removed by the bomb squad last night.

The discovery is not being linked to terrorism with a Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman stating that it is being treated as an “isolated incident.”

She added: “The cordon is there just as a precaution. Neighbouring residents are still in their houses.

“Searches of the property are still ongoing. They are likely to take some time.”
