'˜Large scale' cannabis factory found in industrial estate raid

A number of cannabis plants along with hydroponics have been found during a raid by Cambridgeshire Police on an industrial estate this morning, Tuesday.

The cannabis farm uncovered in Eaton Socon

A warrant was executed by 10 officers under the Misuse of Drugs Act in Little End road in Eaton Socon at 8am.

Police found 11 plants inside, 19 glass jars full of harvested cannabis and a number of planted seedlings.

A trailer was also searched but nothing was found. The drugs have been destroyed.

A spokesman said: “It is great to know that this is a large amount of cannabis not now findings its way on to our streets.”

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is still ongoing.
