Large quantity of cash and drugs seized after police raid in Peterborough

A large quantity of cash and Class A drugs were seized by police after raiding a property in Peterborough.

The operation in Tirrington, Bretton on Friday afternoon (August 19) was linked to a previous warrant which saw 10 drugs raids in the city last Wednesday.

No arrests were made.

Following last week’s raids five men were remanded in custody and two given conditional bail after appearing at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court charged with conspiracy to supply controlled Class A drugs.

Two men were also remanded in custody by the court charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

They are all due to appear at Peterborough Crown Court on September 19.

Three people arrested on conspiracy to supply controlled Class A drugs have also been bailed.

A 35-year-old woman and a 59-year-old have been bailed until September 30, and a 30-year-old man has been bailed until November 1.
