Large amount of cash and goods stolen from Peterborough shop overnight

A large amount of cash, phone cards and cigarettes as well as two sets of car keys have been stolen in a shop raid in Peterborough.

The theft took place at about 2.45am yesterday morning, Wednesday March 16 at Islamic International Stores in Gladstone Street.

Four men were seen getting out of a dark coloured car before forcing the shops shutters up and entering the premises.

They spent around half an hour inside before exiting and leaving in the car.

The theft was discovered and reported to police at 8.45am.
