Indecent incident on Peterborough Embankment

Police are seeking witnesses to an incident on Peterborough Embankment where a man followed a woman and then touched himself indecently.

The incident happened between 9.20am and 9.50am on Sunday (July 5).

The woman was walking her dog along the Embankment from the area of the Key Theatre, towards Potters Way.

She was followed by a man along the footpath next to the River Nene and to her car at Potters Way car park.

As she drove off, the man stood in the car park and watched her while touching himself indecently.

The man was described as white, 40-45, 5’8’’ to 5’9’’, with quite long, dark brown, greasy hair.

He was wearing dark clothing with possibly a long-sleeved dark jacket.

The victim states that there were numerous people on the footpath at the time.
