A man needed hospital treatment after being the victim of a hit and run in Peterborough city centre.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident that took place on Saturday January 23 in Cattle Market Road, Peterborough.

A man was struck at 11.30pm and suffered a fractured ankle.

The driver of the car, believed to be a 54 plate black Vauxhall Astra, failed to stop and made off along Broadway, out of town towards Burghley road.
