Former Peterborough pre-school chairman given suspended jail term for theft and fraud

A former British Transport Police officer has been given a suspended jail sentence after admitting theft and fraud against a Peterborough pre-school.

Sean White, (42), of Newborough, was given a six month jail sentence, suspended for 24 months at a hearing at Huntingdon Crown Court today (Friday).

White was also ordered to pay compensation of £1027.58 to Newborough Pre-School, and take part in 12 months of supervision with the probation service.

He had admitted to fraud relating to fuel expenses and stealing £310 at a previous hearing. He is the former chairman of the pre-school.
