District Judge Ken Sheraton said the case was too serious to be heard at the Magistrates’ Court, and sent the case to Peterborough Crown Court,

Brown was bailed to appear at the court on June 15.

Darren Ayling, head teacher at The King’s School, previously told the Peterborough Telegraph: “The school has been assured by Cambridgeshire police that these charges do not relate to any former or current pupils from The King’s School. “Andrew Brown served on the governing body at King’s between 2007-15 and was chair of governors between September 2014 and November 2015. He worked as a cover supervisor at King’s between 2010 and 2014. He no longer has any involvement with the school.”
