Five arrested for burglary in Peterborough after police chase

Officers have arrested five teenagers on suspicion of burglary following a police chase down Oundle Road in Peterborough.

At about 4.10pm yesterday afternoon (Monday, May 16) officers spotted five individuals they believed as being involved in a number of dwelling burglaries across the south Peterborough area.

A 17-year-old boy from Wisbech was arrested near to Oundle Road and taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station. He has since been charged with dwelling burglary with intent to steal. He was remanded to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday, May 17).

A 16-year-old boy from Peterborough was arrested in Oundle Road on suspicion of dwelling burglary and being in possession of a class B drug. He was taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station and has since been bailed to return to the same station on August 8.

Another 16-year-old boy from Peterborough was arrested in Oundle Road and taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station. He has since been charged with dwelling burglary with intent to steal. He was remanded to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday, May 17).

Two other 16-year-old boys from Peterborough were arrested in Oundle Road on suspicion of dwelling burglary. He was taken to Thorpe Wood Police Station and has since been bailed to return to the same station on August 8.
