Enquiry office at Thorpe Wood Police Station to return to longer opening hours
The enquiry office at Thorpe Wood Police Station is set to re-open in the evenings and on Sundays.
The desk, which is used to deal with custody related matters, incident reporting, crime reporting, road traffic accident reporting, document production and other general advice, will be open between 8am and 10pm, seven days a week, from Monday, June 13.
Since February, the enquiry office at Peterborough’s main police station has been open between 8am and 8pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, between 9am and 5pm on Monday and Saturday, and closed all day on Sunday.
At the time, a spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said the new hours were a temporary measure, “put in place while we recruit new members of staff.”
