Driver who ‘tailgated’ police vehicle in Peterborough arrested for drink driving

The driver was stopped by the police vehicle he was following too closely and failed a roadside breath test.

Peterborough police said on social media: “The driver of this vehicle thought it would be a wise idea to tailgate a marked police vehicle...

“Upon stopping and speaking to the driver, there was a strong smell of alcohol coming from them.

“A roadside breath test reveals the driver is over the limit, blowing 80Uggs at the roadside. Driver arrested and in custody.”
