Driver caught doing over 100mph on A1M near Peterborough without licence or insurance

A man was arrested after being caught driving at more than 100mph on the A1M without a driving licence or insurance.

Officers were carrying out routine patrols on the A1m at Alconbury at about 4pm on Wednesday, June 8, when they spotted the 23-year-old travelling at over 100mph.

Upon stopping the driver, it is alleged he tried to give false details to conceal his true identity.

It later transpired that he had been disqualified three times and he has now been charged with driving whilst disqualified, driving without insurance and speeding.

He is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on June 24.
