Dog bites duo who robbed Peterborough man at knifepoint in city park

Robbers who stole money from a man in Peterborough’s Central Park got away despite being bitten by a German Shepherd.

The man, who is in his 60s, was walking his dog when he was approached by two men in Central Park at about 5.40am on Tuesday (October 6).

The men brandished a knife and demanded the victim hand over his phone and money.

In response to the attack, the victim’s German Shepherd bit the offenders but they both managed to escape and run towards All Saints Road.

The offenders are described as white, one wearing a blue hoodie and the other wearing a red hoodie.

DS Shish Thind said: “I am urging anyone who has information about the incident to contact us as a matter of urgency, in particular if they know someone who has recently been bitten by a dog.”
