Crimewatch will broadcast ‘new leads’ into the murder of six-year-old schoolboy Rikki Neave who died 21 years ago.

Rikki’s body was found strangled and dumped in a ditch 500 yards from his home in Redmile Walk, in Welland, on November 28, 1994.

Detectives re-opened their investigation into Rikki’s death in June and in September they said good progress was being made.

Now, BBC show Crimewatch is promising to bring exclusive new leads into the investigation using the latest 3D crime scene scanning technology, as well as new information from witnesses.

The BBC says this could now prove the key to solving the case.

The show will air on Monday, November 16 on BBC One at 9pm.
