British Transport Police tweeted yesterday: “13 people spoken to and educated at Peterborough railway station today regarding non essential travel. Please follow the government’s advice.”

Meanwhile, police in Peterborough posted a photo on Facebook showing people had left home to steal flowers before running off.

The force posted: “Ignoring the stay at home policy with another to steal flowers from the side of the road, beggars belief. Unbelievable! #ranoff #StayAtHome #Covid19 #2214 #2230.”
