Caravan arson attack spreads to two Peterborough homes
An arson attack on a caravan spread to two homes in Peterborough last night, Tuesday March 22.
Crews from Sawtry and Dogsthorpe were called to the caravan on fire in Redmile Walk, on the Welland Estate.
A large amount of smoke was seen and multiple calls were received by Combined Fire Control.
A fire in a caravan had spread to involve two terraced properties – no one was in either property at the time of the fire.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to prevent the fire from spreading any further.
They extinguished the fire by 6.40pm, when a fire investigation started into the cause of the fire.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
The last crew returned to station by 9.50pm.
