Staff at a Wisbech hair salon say it’s business as usual despite a car crashing into their premises at the weekend.
Police have appealed for witnesses after a car, thought to be a black Vauxhall Corsa, hit the Clippers premises in Hill Street shortly after midnight on Sunday.
Despite the damage caused by the crash, Clippers was open for business as usual on Monday after the owner of the building returned from Preston to carry out emergency repairs.
Charlotte Hayes-Watts, who runs the salon with business partner Sophie Green, said the incident had been reported from the nearby Horsefair pub.
She said: “They saw a car screeching off and rang the police.
“The front of the shop has been pretty well smashed to bits.”
Police say the car drove off towards Union Street after the crash.
Mrs Hayes-Watts has echoed officers’ appeals for information about what happened.
She said: “There’s got to be a car somewhere with damage.”
In a another incident, a car crashed into a house and other vehicles in March on Friday night.
People living in Norwood Road lost their telephone lines because off damage caused by the incident.
