Cannabis worth £35,000 seized in Peterborough

Cannabis worth £35,000 has been seized by police from a Peterborough location.

The 70 cannabis plants were discovered on Friday (Janury 22) with an announcement made on a Cambridgeshire police Twitter account.

A police spokesman was unable to confirm the address of where the the drugs were seized, but he said cannabis had been found in Whitsed Street, Eastfield on the Friday morning.

Police were called at 3.30am by Cambridgeshire Fire And Rescue Service due to flooding at a boarded up property.

Officers visited the property and saw water coming out, but once it was okay for them to enter they discovered cannabis plants inside.
