Tuesday 9.30am: Two boys will appear in court today (Tuesday) charged with murdering Spalding man Warren Free.

The two boys will appear before Lincoln Magistrates this morning and are then expected to appear at Lincoln Crown Court later this afternoon.

Of the seven juveniles arrested in connection with Warren Free’s death, three have already been charged with murder, one boy remains on bail, and the remaining juvenile will have no further police action taken against him.

Senior Investigating Officer, DCI Martin Holvey, said: “Five individuals have now been charged but an active investigation into Mr Free’s murder continues. Even at this stage, the public may have some detail which could be very important to the enquiry and I reiterate my previous appeals to anyone with information, however insignificant it may seem, to contact the investigation team”.

Mr Free died on August 29 after suffering head injuries at Coronation Close in the town. He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham but died from his injuries.

Anyone with information can contact Lincolnshire Police by calling 101 and quoting incident 161 of 28th August. Alternatively, you can pass information, in complete anonymity, to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
