Boy charged with Spalding murder

Tuesday 10.25am: A sixth youngster has been charged with the murder of Spalding man Warren Free.

The boy will appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court this morning to face the murder charge, and is expected to appear at Lincoln Crown Court in the afternoon.

He is the sixth juvenile to be charged in connection with Mr Free’s death. Two girls and three boys have already appeared in court charged with murder.

None of the accused can be named for legal reasons.

Mr Free died on August 29 aged 42 after suffering head injuries at Coronation Close in the town. He was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham but died from his injuries.
