Boy assaulted on Peterborough street

Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy was assaulted in Peterborough on Thursday afternoon (March 31).

The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was walking along Lincoln Road, near to the junction with Cambridge Avenue, at about 3.15pm when he was approached by two men.

They started to have a conversation with the victim before one of the men, described as Asian, about 5’ 10” and between 16 to 20-years-old, assaulted him.

Shortly after, a third man who is believed to be known to the two offenders, then approached the group and further assaulted the victim.

The third man is described as Asian, about 6’ and between 41 to 60-years-old.

It is believed that the offenders left the scene together in a silver taxi.

PCSO Umar Shabir said: “The victim was badly shaken and I would urge anyone who may have seen the incident happen to call us on 101.”
