Arrest made following Peterborough city centre robbery thanks to the sharp nose of the law

A man remains in custody on suspicion of robbery in Peterborough after being tracked down by the sharp nose of the law, PD Diesel.

Police were called to reports of robbery in Westgate, Peterborough, last night, Sunday December 17 at about 11.10pm.

A member of the public was robbed and a mobile phone worth £300 taken.

PD Diesel and his handler deployed and tracked the suspect from the scene, Diesel locating a man in bushes.

A 26 year old man was challenged and then detained by the German Shepherd and arrested at 11.15pm in Boongate, Peterborough on suspicion of robbery.

He remains in custody at this time.
