An arrest has been made after an incident which left a man unconscious and bleeding from his head in Lincoln Road, Peterborough.

The 47-year-old man was taken to Peterborough City Hospital yesterday (Thursday January 1) with serious but not life threatening injuries.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievously bodily harm.

Police were called at 12.36pm on Thursday to the Lincoln Road junction with Taverners Road.
