Armed police '˜storm' Peterborough flat after threats to kill made

Armed police '˜stormed' a flat in Peterborough at the weekend after reports of violence at the address.

Police were called at 5.50pm on Saturday, March 4, to reports of violence and threatening behaviour in Tyesdale in Bretton.

Officers from the armed policing unit attended the scene and a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm and making threats to kill.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing officers ‘storming’ into the flat shouting ‘armed police.’

The man has been released on bail until March 17.
