Armed police arrest men in Peterborough after member of the public reported spotting a firearm
Two men have been arrested in Peterborough after reports of a firearm seen in a car.
A police spokesman said the men, both aged in their 20s, were arrested by armed police after officers received a call from a member of the public who had seen a man with what was believed to be a firearm, travelling in a black Renault Megane in Cambridge Avenue, Millfield.
Officers from the armed policing unit attended the scene and stopped the car near the junction with Lincoln Road.
Two men in the vehicle have been arrested.
