Appeal after Peterborough motorist crashes into parked car before fleeing

An appeal has been launched after a BMW crashed into a parked car with the driver then seen fleeing the scene.

The incident happened at around 11pm last night (Wednesday) in Lincoln Road, near Thistlemoor Road in New England, with witnesses seeing the driver leave the area on foot after the crash.

A Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said: “Officers attended but the occupant was not located. Enquiries continue.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision or has information should call police on 101 quoting incident 521 of January 30 or visit www.cambs.police.uk/report.”
