Andrew Richardson and Gail Clarke are now coming to terms with the loss of 10-month-old Dotty and the seven-week-old puppies, which are all Cocker Spaniels.

Thieves raided the kennels at their home in Gayton during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, March 30).

Mr Richardson is concerned about the safety of the dogs and is putting out an appeal for their return.

He said: “We are absolutely gutted. You hear stories of puppies being stolen and then dumped when they can’t sell them.

“We just really want them back.”

The puppies are part of a litter of nine. Their mother and two other pups were left by the thieves.

They are described as: a black dog, golden dog, chocolate and white dog, black and tan dog, black and white bitch, chocolate bitch and a cinnamon and white bitch.

Police are now investigating the theft of the puppies and Dotty, who is black and white.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a small dark coloured hatchback car which was seen acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the theft or from anyone who may have been offered the dogs for sale.

Anyone with information should contact Norfolk Constabulary on 101.
