Peterborough Cathedral Shop is hosting a special offer day on Thursday, November 12 for its Advent calendars, Christmas cards, gifts and books.

On the day there will be a 20 per cent discount on all goods sold.

Cathedral supporters are especially invited to drop in for a spot of late night shopping after Evensong that day, when mince pies and hot drinks will be available from 6.30pm until 8pm.

Those who are unable to make it on Thursday can get a 20 per cent discount on goods sold online at, although for the full range of goods a visit to the physical shop is essential.

For online shoppers the discount is available all day Thursday.

Goods can be posted to purchasers or there is a “click and collect” service.

For those shopping in person, the Cathedral Shop opening hours on Thursday will be 10am until 5pm, then 6.30pm until 8pm. The evening opening coincides with late night shopping in Peterborough city centre.

Any purchase from the Cathedral Shop is helping to support the mission and ministry of Peterborough Cathedral.

All are welcome to attend the service of Evensong at 5.30pm with the Peterborough Cathedral Choir. Earlier that day Bishop Donald is hosting a meeting for clergy in the cathedral so access for visitors will be restricted.

No parking is available in the Peterborough Cathedral Precincts other than for blue badge holders.
