Cheers for squad as they win Skip of Gold
For the past three months, Mick George has been running its ‘Skip of Gold’ competition in partnership with the Peterborough Telegraph, providing sports clubs and community groups with the chance to win £1,000.
The winner came from the sports category, in the form of Unity Allstars Gold who were a clear cut winner.

Hide AdUnity Allstars Gold is England’s first ever competitive Special Needs Cheerleading Squad for young people with a range of learning or physical disabilities in Peterborough.
Amee Quy, assistant director at the club said: ‘’To see the faces of these young people achieve and build their self-confidence is just incredible. Supporting these athletes comes at a cost in terms of hall hire, equipment, and transport to the competitions amongst other things.
“By winning the ‘Skip of Gold’ competition, means that everyone that has voted have supported our club in the aim to raise funds to attend a national competition next year in London.
“We are truly grateful and on behalf of the coaching staff, parents and most importantly the young talented athletes in the squad …a big BIG Thank You to Mick George Ltd!’’
Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George said the response to the competition had been ‘fantastic.’
