Charity money rockets in
Organisers of the Firework Fiesta in Peterborough celebrated a record breaking night after raising £33,000 for good causes in the city.
The money was raised at last year’s Firework Fiesta, which was sponsored by the BGL Group. It was presented to a range of charities at a presentation at Milton Golf Club.
Chairman of the Firework Fiesta committee, Eric
Dickens, said, “Record numbers of visitors to the event has meant that this year we have been able to donate even more money to support the work of so many good causes. Over the years, Firework Fiesta has raised around £600,000 for small local charities and good causes and we are particularly grateful for the sponsorship of the BGL Group which has
supported Firework Fiesta for the last four years.”
