From Minis to Mustangs and Triumphs to Toyotas, a range of exotic - and not so exotic - machinery was on show at the Peterborough Classic Car show.

The show is now in its fifth year, and people came from far and wide with their pride and joy, with thousands of people attending to look at the range of vehicles. While the cars were the stars, there was plenty on offer for petrol heads of all types, with classic American motorcycles, vintage buses and historic trucks all on display. There were also a selection of more modern cars on show as well, and a number of enthusiast clubs were out in force. Some exhibitors even brought a range of unusual cars, including a tiny Scooter car. While some car owners used their vehicles every day, others were normally kept under lock and key, with the owners delighted with the sunny weekend weather. The event was organised by Peterborough City Council, and a spokesman said there were more than 500 vehicles on show on Saturday and Sunday, with 3,000 people coming to look at the displays. The spokesman said this year saw the highest number of vehicles and visitors to the show since it started in 2013.Organisers are now starting to plan next year’s event, and although a date has not yet been set, all people who displayed a vehicle at the show this year have been contacted about the 2019 event.
