Peterborough factory that once housed job creating manufacturer goes on the market

A large factory in Peterborough that was once home to a manufacturer employing scores of people, has gone on the market.

The factory in Fengate sits on a two acre site and was the former home of Glassolutions.

Sealed unit manufacturer Glassolutions announced the closure of the factory a year ago with the loss of about 55 jobs.

The 40,172 sq ft single storey warehouse has offices on two floors to the front.

The premises are being marketed by commercial agents Barker Storey Matthews.

A spokesman said: “The depot-style premises are available immediately by way of assignment or a sub-letting, with the current lease expiring in January 2024.

The single storey industrial space - suitable for warehouse and workshop use - is 35,392 sq ft with 2,870 sq ft of office accommodation on the ground floor and 1,006 sq ft on the first floor.

There is forecourt car parking and a large loading yard at the rear.
