Organisers of a major agricultural technology exhibition in Peterborough are jubilant at the event’s success.
They say that about 40,000 people attended LAMMA at the East of England Showground over the course of the two day event.
Visitors saw the latest farm equipment from nearly 1,000 exhibitors from the UK and Europe.
A spokeswoman for LAMMA said: “Initial feedback has been very positive.
“The event, which featured 1.5 million square feet of exhibition space, attracted many international visitors.
She added: “We feel the area’s economy has benefited greatly with many of the local hotels full.
“There is nowhere else that you can see such a range of machinery and technology from across the UK’s agricultural sectors.”
It is the second year the LAMMA show has taken place in Peterborough since the organisers moved from Newark.
