A new bank that is targeting small and medium sized firms in Peterborough has reached a milestone in its growth.
Cambridge & Counties Bank has just achieved a quarter of a billion pounds in lending.
The bank for small and medium sized businesses was founded just three years ago but has seen continuous growth every month.
The bank is jointly owned by Cambridgeshire Local Government Pension Fund and Trinity Hall, a college of the University of Cambridge.
Chief executive Mike Kirsopp said: “£250 million in lending is a landmark in our growth.
“But more importantly it shows that we are giving businesses what they need and what they cannot easily find elsewhere.”
“It is a real encouragement for us as we aim for the next milestones in our expansion.”
