A Peterborough business specialising in recruitment and careers shows has just won a national award.

The Job Show has been crowned winners of The Community Business of the Year at the SME National Business Awards 2017.

The award was presented at a ceremony at Wembley Stadium attended by more than 450 business people from across the UK.

Director and co-founder of The Job Show, Victoria Clarke, said: “We are delighted and thrilled to win the Community Business of the Year Award.

“With a maximum of 14 companies in any one category going through to the finals it is a huge achievement to be recognised.

“This recognition will give us even greater determination to continue producing more rewarding and successful recruitment and careers events.

“The idea behind The Job Show was sparked by the doom and gloom of the current tough economic climate, when we recognised a need to revitalise traditional job seeking strategies, firmly believing that ‘people buy people’ and a face-to- face meeting is vital in the digital age.”
