Waste management company Mick George Ltd has appointed Abigail Johnson as commercial manager.
Abigail will develop capabilities, facilities, services and business opportunities for waste management solutions, including asbestos, contaminated soils and hazardous waste, across all sectors from manufacturing, construction and energy, to education and retail.
Her appointment coincides with the development and opening of Mick George’s new asbestos and contaminated soils disposal facility at Mepal, Cambridgeshire in October.
With a wealth of technical knowledge and industry experience in waste consultancy, compliance and business development roles, Abigail Johnson joins the Mick George Ltd management team from Enviroco, where she headed up national business development with a focus on hazardous waste.
Jon Stump, finance director at Mick George Ltd, said: “Abigail is a highly dynamic professional with an excellent commercial, operational and technical skill base.
“She has a proven track record of success in the industry and will be an asset to our team. She is ideally placed to promote our unique position as a genuine one-stop provider for asbestos waste and contaminated soils when we open our new disposal facility in Cambridgeshire next month”.
Abigail added: “I am delighted to be part of a forward-thinking company committed to providing tailored waste solutions to their wide portfolio of customers.
“Mick George Ltd has achieved incredible growth and expansion in recent years and its portfolio of products and services has evolved rapidly and profitably. I look forward to developing my role and continuing that trajectory”.
