THE merger of two security companies and rebranding to GSL Dardan has resulted in a robust and stronger business and enhanced range of services.

Following the buy-out of city-based BusinessWatch by regional security company GSL Dardan, the new operation has moved to a single location, refurbished offices at Second Drove, Fengate, Peterborough.

Richard Olsen, of GSL Dardan Peterborough, confirmed the “improved service” of the merged business, with safety and quality the top two items on the agenda.

He said: “By merging the companies together under GSL Dardan, the company has been able to strategically plan the use of its mobile fleet to ensure that we improve the level of mobile patrols, whilst enabling much faster alarm response times, as keys are located within the vehicles.

“We are also the only company operating within the local area that has two mobile patrol vehicles permanently out during key night time hours, and additionally provide manned guarding, remote CCTV monitoring and void property inspection services.”

The BusinessWatch merger with GSL Dardan has enabled the workforce to expand to more than 100 security officers, eight mobile patrol officers as well as a fleet of six vehicles. The full range of services available from GSL Dardan is available on the website

Corporate investigations company MacRae York & Thompson (MYT), a longstanding division of GSL Dardan, has also been rebranded, to GSL Dardan Investigations.

The new entity has resulted because of increased demand for its services. It has been used by companies across multiple sectors, which have turned to GSL Dardan to uncover the actions of rogue employees and to protect their established brands and reputations with outstanding results.

GSL Dardan Investigations provides companies with a vast range of investigative services – both proactively and reactively – including undercover operations, static and mobile surveillance, background and status profiling, fraud investigation, debtor and asset tracing, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions support, and litigation support.

Mark Duffy, chief executive for the Norwich HQ of GSL Dardan, said: “We are very pleased with the changes we have made to the newly rebranded GSL Dardan Investigations and hope that more businesses will now take advantage of the service as it becomes more focused, motivated and dynamic than it has ever been before producing increasingly better results for our clients.”
