A dairy which operates a major factory in Peterborough has seen its profits rise after a surge in demand for its products.
Meadow Foods, in Whitehead Drove, Fengate, has reported an operating profit of £11.2 million for the year ending 31 March 2014.
The figure is up from an operating profit of £9.69 million for the same period the previous year.
Turnover has also increased to £420.7 million - up from £339.42 million the previous year.
The company recently invested £3.1 million in the Peterborough factory and extra works to upgrade the electrical supply, replace refrigeration systems and improve control systems will take place this year.
Executive chairman Simon Chantler said: “The improved profits allow us to continue to reinvest into the business.”
