A hi-tech Peterborough company that is making it easier for parents to stay in touch with their children’s schools is expanding.
ParentMail, based in Saville Road, Westwood, has been taking on a range of new staff over the last few months and now has a work force of 600.
The company was created 14 years ago and provides a range of online applications that help schools communicate to parents – reducing the time and cost and improving the responses they get from parents.
Its current products include text, email forms, permissions and surveys, online payments, parents’ evening manager, absences as well as meetings and events.
ParentMail currently looks after 6,500 schools and has more than four million parents using its service to receive messages from all their schools and clubs.
Paul Hughes, managing director, said: “We pride ourselves on being one of the leading, innovative companies in our sector, with very loyal customers, many of whom have been on the journey with us for over 10 years now.
“We’ve grown from just two parents with an idea, to a successful, exciting company, and our future looks promising.”
Geoff Jones, marketing director, said: “ParentMail is used to send messages, collect payments, request completion of forms, permissions and surveys, manage parents’ evenings and other events - and even allow parents to report absences.
“For parents they can see and respond to messages for all their children’s schools and clubs - all in one account, on their mobile, tablet or computer.”
