Fashion retailer H&M has announced the opening date for its new Peterborough store.
The clothing chain plans to open a new outlet in the former Waitrose unit in the Queensgate shopping centre on July 28.
H&M currently operates a store in the centre but the move will see the brand relocate to a new and improved retail unit on the first floor.
The new store will have 2,061sq m of selling space offering more choices for women, men and children.
New additions will include sportswear, an extra divided range and a beauty range.
H&M’s country manager Carlos Duarte said: “We are delighted to be relocating within the centre.
“This is a very exciting opportunity to expand our brand.
“We already have a base of fantastic customers in Peterborough and we hope the store will continue to impress them, offering something for everyone, no matter on age, budget or personalstyle.”
On launch morning customers in the queue will receive a discount wristband and will be able to enjoy an in-store DJ whilst perusing all the new store has to offer.
H&M opened its first UK store in 1976. Now its UK and Ireland portfolio has grown to include more than 260 stores.
