First look inside new menswear retailer BadRhino in Peterborough

The doors were thrown open in style as menswear retailer BadRhino began trading from its new store in Peterborough

Staff gathered to cut a ribbon to officially declare open the new store at the corner of Bridge Street and Bourges Boulevard - in the premises left empty by the collapse of furniture firm Multiyork.

It is the third standalone store that BadRhino has opened in the UK and has created five jobs.

BadRhino is part of the Peterborough-headquartered Yours Clothing which also has a womenswear store in Bridge Street.

Store manager Alexandra Gibb said: "We don't have many plus size menswear stores in Peterborough

"But we have always been in Peterborough - we currently occupy the floor above Yours Clothing in Bridge Street and we have always enjoyed a high demand for our products.

Miss Gibb added: "This is the first store I've managed. It is a big challenge and I am really looking forward to it."

The 2,500 sq ft store currently holds 4,500 units of product .

Commercial agents Barker Storey Matthews, which acted on behalf of the centre owners AEW UK Core Property Fund, oversaw the lease agreement with Yours Clothing.
